 All the ends of the earth will remember & turn to the Lord, & all the families of the nations will bow down before Him. For dominion belongs to the Lord & He rules over the nations. All the rich of the earth will feast & worship; all who go down to the dust will kneel before Him - those who cannot keep themselves alive. Posterity will serve Him; future generations will be told about the Lord. (Psalms 22: 27-30). A great revival & restoration of the church worldwide is coming. It will be backed by a heavy outpouring of the Holy Spirit. This will SNATCH people from the FIRE & put them in the way everlasting. God is REBUILDING His church.  For the king trusts in the Lord; through the unfailing LOVE of the Most High, he will not be shaken. Your hand will lay hold on all your enemies; your right hand will seize your foes. At the time of your appearing you will make them like a fiery furnace. In His wrath the Lord will swallow them up, & His fire will consume them. (Psalms 21:7-9). Though God is love, He is also a consuming fire. His fire will consume His enemies. Christianity is about love & not hatred. Love is the central message of Christianity. Whoever loves has been born of God & knows God. Anyone who does not love does not know God, for God is love. LOVE is the MISSING ingredient in today's church. Let us love our enemies & leave the rest to God. He is the RIGHTEOUS judge. He will handle the matter in a manner that is much better than what we would have done.  May the Lord answer you when you are in distress; may the name of the God of Jacob protect you. May He send you help from the sanctuary & grant you support from Zion. May He remember all your sacrifice & accept your burnt offerings. May He give you the desire of your heart & make all your plans succeed. (Psalms 20:1-3).  The Lord thundered from Heaven; the voice of the Most High resounded. He shot His arrows & scattered the enemy, with great bolts of lightning, He routed them. The valleys of the sea were exposed & the foundations of the earth laid bare at your rebuke, Lord, at the blast of breadth from your nostrils. (Psalm 18:13-15). When God arise, all His enemies scatter. All those who are bent on fighting you for being true to God, they are not your enemies; they are enemies of the God whom you serve. That is the reason why the Bible commands us to love our enemies. God is not justifying sin by saying that. He wants us to love them & He Himself will arise on your behalf & scatter them.  Hear me, Lord, my plea is just; listen to my cry. Hear my prayer - it does not rise from deceitful lips. (Psalms 17:1). Our prayer requests must be just. They must agree with the will of God. This is the first thing that we learn from the prayer of David. Our God is a God of justice. He wants us to be fair in all situations. God considers justice, mercy & faithfulness as WEIGHTIER things. (Mathew 23:23). God is not pleased with all kinds of prayers. He takes delight in the prayer of the UPRIGHT. If anyone turns a deaf ear to what the Bible says, our prayers become detestable to God. The will of God is just. In your life, you need to practice justice to others. Failure to do so will result in you having an unfruitful prayer life.  Keep me safely God, for in you I take refuge. I say to the Lord, you are my Lord; apart from You, I have no good thing. I say of the Holy people who are in the land: They are the noble ones in whom is all my delight. Those who run after other gods will suffer more & more. I will not pour our libations of blood to such gods, or take up their names on my lips. Lord you alone are my portion & my cup; you make my lot secure. (Psalm 16:1-5). God gives  maximum protection & security to His obedient children. He keeps us where Satan cannot touch us. In His hands we are very safe. He hides us under His shadow & under the blood of Jesus.  Lord, who may dwell in your sanctuary? Who may live on your holy hill? He whose walk is blameless & who does what is righteous, who speaks the truth from his heart & has no slander on his tongue, who does his neighbor no wrong & casts no slur on his fellow man, who despises a vile man but honors those who fear the Lord, who keeps his oath even when it hurts. (Psalm 15:1-4). The above verses show a kind of Christian God desires. He expects His church to be full of people with such qualities - people who have no slander on their tongue, people who do no wrong to their neighbors, people who despise the vile man & not protect or cover him, people who honor those who fear the Lord & NOT compete with them, or endeavor to pull them down, demonize them, call them names, etc. God wants people who lends his money without usury & who does not accept a bribe against the innocent.  The fool says in his heart: There is no God. They are corrupt, their deeds are vile; there is no one who does good. (Psalm 14:1). Let me start by correcting a common anomaly or misunderstanding.  People think that those who say that there is no God are atheists only. This is the common belief among the people. Jesus said in John 14:15: if you love Me, you will obey what I command. This means that if we love God, we will do what He says in His Word. If we do not love Him, we will operate outside His will. Or we will take a portion from the Word & mix it with our own man made rules. This is what I call Christian RELIGION. Because we do not obey His Word in total, it means that we do not love Him.  How long, O Lord? Will you forget me forever? How long will you hide your face from me? How long must I wrestle with my thoughts & everyday have sorrow in my heart? How long will my enemy triumph over me? Look on me & answer, O Lord my God. Give light to my eyes, or i will sleep in death; my enemy will say: I have overcome him & my foes will rejoice when I fall. But I trust in your unfailing love; my heart rejoices in your salvation. I will sing to the Lord, for He has been good to me. (Psalm 13:1-6). The psalmist was in this situation of despair & prayed this prayer. Prayer is not time bound, when you are in a situation, you can still pray it, it works. The psalmist was praying for relief from despair. We must continue to trust God even when  He doesn't answer us immediately. What is prayer? Prayer is two fold: Firstly: Prayer is a direct COMMUNICATION with God; talking to God. Secondly: It is a RELATIONSHIP with God. The prayer of a righteous man is powerful...

 Help, Lord, for the godly are no more; the faithful have vanished from among men. Everyone lies to his neighbor; their flattering lips speak with deception. May the Lord cut off all flattering lips & every boastful tongue that says: We will triumph with our tongues; we own our lips - who is our master? (Psalm 12: 1-4). These few verses show an increase in wickedness among God's people. Pride has also increased among those who claim to be children & servants of God. There is now more worldliness in the churches today, than the church in the world. This is a sad development. The psalmist prayed that: God cut off all flattering lips & every boastful tongue.  The Lord examines the righteous, but the wicked & those who love violence, His soul hates. On the wicked He will rain fiery coals & burning sulphur; a scorching wind will be their lot. For the Lord is righteous, He loves justice; upright men will see His face. (Psalm 11:5-7). God loves righteousness.  He examines the righteous & leads them in the way everlasting. He favors them & fights the battles for them while the righteous remain silent. We, the righteous, do not fight people; we fully understand what the Bible says about spiritual battles or warfare. Our war is not against human beings. If you are in the habit of fighting people, know that you are fighting a wrong war. Our war is against evil spirits. We partner with God in this fight of faith, through prayer & faith. God gives us victory all the time. We know no defeat. We know no failure in Christ.  But you O Lord, do see trouble & grief; you consider it to take it in hand. The victim commits himself to you; you are the helper of the fatherless. Break the arm of the wicked & evil man; call him to account for his wickedness that would not be found out. (Psalm 10:14-15). Here we have a situation where the wicked man hunts down the weak; he is boastful for doing wrong, his mouth is full of curses & lies & threats; trouble & evil are under his toungue; he murders the innocent, like a lion he lies in wait to cover the helpless; he catches the helpless & drags them off in his net.  I will praise you, O Lord, with all my heart; I will tell of all your wonders. I will be glad & rejoice in you; I will sing praise to your name. My enemies turn back; they stumble & perish before you. (Psalm 9:1-3). Let us praise the Lord. God wants us to praise Him highly. He wants us to bless His holy name. Praise is powerful. It is like a weapon of mass destruction. The moment we begin to praise the Lord, things will begin to happen.The enemy will suffocate & fall down. The moment you begin to sing songs of praises to God from the heart, & speak praises to God as the fruit of our lips, God will cause the devil's camp to experience panic & confusion.  My shield is God Most High, who saves the upright in heart. (Psalm 7:10). God is interested in the condition of our hearts. The Bible says: Blessed are the pure in heart for they will see God. (see Mathew 5:8).The reverse is true: If our hearts are not pure, we will not see Him. If we can't see Him, it means that we cannot walk with Him. Two cannot walk together unless they agree. God has set His condition: To walk humbly with Him, be pure in heart. There is no other way.   God wants us to be humble & gentle in heart. (see Mathew 11:29). The Bible says: Humility comes before honor. Pride comes before a fall. God wants us to be  gentle & humble in heart. His Spirit is a gentle Spirit, that is the reason why He was given a symbol of a dove - a gentle bird. Note: The Holy Spirit does not force us to be led by Him. He respects our personal will.  No one remembers You when he is dead. Who praises You from the grave. (Psalm 6:5). Church, as we have time, let us seek God while He may be found. Call on Him while He is near. (see Isaiah 55:6). The saying: ' while He may be found, ' means that time is coming when He will not be found. While you still have the opportunity, worship God in spirit & in truth. Serve Him with a whole heart & a willing mind. Be true to God & have lives which inspire others to get saved. Meet God in His Word daily & obey its principles. Pray continually in faith.  For you are not a God who is pleased with wickedness; with you; evil people are not welcome. The arrogant cannot stand in your presence. You hate all who do wrong; you destroy those who tell lies. The bloodthirsty & deceitful, you, Lord, detest. (Psalm 5:4-6). The above verses only shows that our God has zero tolerance to wickedness. He said in Hebrews 12:14: that without holiness no one will see the Lord. How do we become holy? Let us look at how we become righteous.  Why? Because righteousness leads to holiness. (Romans 6:19). The Bible says that the righteous shall live by faith. God CREDITS our faith as righteousness. This righteousness comes from God & is by faith in Jesus Christ. Righteousness leads to holiness. It says: Until now you have not asked for anything in my name. Ask & you will receive, & your joy will be complete. (John 16:24). How do we pray: * We ask in the name & authority of Jesus Christ. * We pray according to the will of God.  Where do we find the will of God from? The will of God is recorded in the Bible, the Word of God. Thus, in essence, we pray the Word of God in faith. Why in faith? Because faith connects us to God. Faith pleases God. Faith is the basis in which the Kingdom of God operates. Without faith, we cannot receive anything from God.  Faith brings down what is in the spirit realm to the physical realm.  O Lord, how many are my foes! How many rise up against me! Many are saying of me: God will not deliver him. But You are a shield around me, O Lord; you bestow glory on me & lift up my head.  The kings of the earth take their stand & the rulers gather together against the Lord & against His anointed One. Let us break their chains, they say, & throw off their fetters. The One enthroned in Heaven LAUGHS; & the Lord scoffs at them. The Lord rebukes them in His anger & terrifies them in His wrath, saying: I have installed my King on Zion, my Holy hill. (Psalm 2:2-6).  Blessed is the man who does not walk in the counsel of the wicked or stand in the way of sinners or sit in the seat of mockers. But his delight is in the Law of the Lord & on His law he meditates day & night. He is like a tree planted by streams of water, which yields its fruit in season & whose leaf does not wither. Whatever he does prospers. (Psalm 1:1-3). This Psalm talks of the joys of obeying God & refusing to listen to those who discredit or ridicule Him. Our friends & associates can have influence on us, often in very subtle ways.  But you dear friends, build yourselves up in your most holy faith & pray in the Holy Spirit. (Jude 1:20). How do we build ourselves up in the most holy faith? Firstly, accept Jesus Christ as Lord & Saviour of your life. Hear the Word, read it with prayer or study it. Do not read the Bible like a novel, the danger is you will know the stories written in it but you will not know the God behind those stories. Memorize the Word, ie, hide it in your heart so that you will not sin against God. Meditate on it day & night, ie, digest it. Obey its principles or apply the meditated portion of the Word to your life daily. Meditation brings deeper understanding. You will have good success & be prosperous.  This is how the birth of Jesus Christ came about: His mother Mary was pledged to be married to Joseph, but before they came together, she was found to be like a child through the Holy Spirit. Because Joseph her husband was a righteous man & did not want to expose her to public disgrace, he had in mind to divorce her quietly. (Mathew 1:18-19).  I baptize you with water for repentance. But after me will come One who is more powerful than I, whose sandals I am not fit to carry. He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit & with fire. (Mathew 3:11). Water baptism is for repentance. This water SYMBOLIZES baptism that now saves you also - not the removal of dirt from the body, but the pledge of a good conscience toward God. It saves you by the resurrection of Jesus Christ, who has gone into Heaven & is at God's right hand - with angels, authorities & powers in submission to Him. (1 Peter 3:21-22).  Therefore, if you are offering your gift at the altar & there remember that your brother has something against you, leave your gift there in front of the altar. First go, & be reconciled to your brother, then come & offer your gift. (Mathew 5:23-24). This is an example of where the OFFENDER is to take the initiative to get RECONCILED with his brother./// If your, brother sins against you, go & show him his fault, just the two of you. If he listens to you, you have won your brother over. But if he will not listen, take one or two others along, so that every matter will be established by the testimony of two or three witnesses. If he refuses to listen to them, tell it to the church; & if he refuses even to listen to the church, treat him as you would a pagan or tax collector. In other words, treat him or her as a heathen.  Be careful not to do your acts of righteousness before men, to be seen by them. If you do, you will have no reward from your Father in Heaven. So when you give to the NEEDY, do not announce it with trumpets, as the hypocrites do in the synagogues & on the streets to be honored by men. I tell you the truth, they have received their reward in full. But when you give to the needy, do not let your left hand know what your right hand is doing, so that your giving may be in secret. Then your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you. (Mathew 6:1-4).  What really will we be doing when we give our gifts to the poor, needy, orphans & widows?
