In Christianity, the way to go up is to go down first. We follow the Joseph road. In the furnace of affliction, as you suffer for being a Christian, that is where your character is shaped. You will become humble, loving, simple, approachable, understanding, very powerful & wealthy. Handling your challenges Biblically will enable you to have the above character traits. You will know how to use that power & authority. Your faith will be strengthened resulting in you winning more souls for God. God will be glorified through you. Grace & peace be with you.
This is the covenant I will make with the house of Israel after that time, declares the Lord. I will put My laws in their minds & write them on their hearts. I will be their God, & they will be My people. No longer will a man teach his neighbor, or a man his brother, saying: Know the Lord, because they will all know Me, from the least of them to the greatest. (Hebrews 8:10-11). If our hearts are not changed, following God's rules will be unpleasant & difficult. We will rebel against being told how to live the Christian way. The Holy Spirit, however, gives us new desires, helping us wanting to obey God. With new hearts, hearts of flesh & not hearts of stone, we will find that serving God is our greatest joy. Under God's new covenant, God's law is inside us & not outside, ie, on a tablet of stone. No, it's written in our hearts. It is no longer an external set of rules & principles.
