For her wound is incurable; it has come to Judah. It has reached the very gate of my people, even to Jerusalem itself. (Micah 1:9). Prayer: Father I thank you for Jesus. Thank you for hearing & answering my prayers. In today's text we see You Lord pronouncing weeping & mourning following judgement against Samaria & Jerusalem. God Almighty, you are holy. You hate sin & love righteousness. Sin makes a separation between You & us. Have mercy on us as today's church. We confess our sins & repent of them. Relent from implementing this judgement on us. Give us a second chance. Make us righteous & God fearing. Heal our wounds. You are the greatest physician. You heal all diseases. I say in Jesus name: Heal our lives, heal our land. In Jesus mighty name we pray, Amen. Heaven Rules.
This is the covenant I will make with the house of Israel after that time, declares the Lord. I will put My laws in their minds & write them on their hearts. I will be their God, & they will be My people. No longer will a man teach his neighbor, or a man his brother, saying: Know the Lord, because they will all know Me, from the least of them to the greatest. (Hebrews 8:10-11). If our hearts are not changed, following God's rules will be unpleasant & difficult. We will rebel against being told how to live the Christian way. The Holy Spirit, however, gives us new desires, helping us wanting to obey God. With new hearts, hearts of flesh & not hearts of stone, we will find that serving God is our greatest joy. Under God's new covenant, God's law is inside us & not outside, ie, on a tablet of stone. No, it's written in our hearts. It is no longer an external set of rules & principles.
