Teaching: In every situation that we face in daily life, we have a part to play in handling them & God also has His part to play. Like in handling offences: God says that we forgive, release them to Him. That is our part to play. By saying so He is not saying that He is promoting injustice. No, not at all. He says: It is mine to avenge, I will repay. He doesn't want us to take the matter into our own hands. As a God of justice, He wants to mete out justice Himself. That is His part in the subject matter. Why Himself? Because He is the Righteous judge. Heaven Rules.
This is the covenant I will make with the house of Israel after that time, declares the Lord. I will put My laws in their minds & write them on their hearts. I will be their God, & they will be My people. No longer will a man teach his neighbor, or a man his brother, saying: Know the Lord, because they will all know Me, from the least of them to the greatest. (Hebrews 8:10-11). If our hearts are not changed, following God's rules will be unpleasant & difficult. We will rebel against being told how to live the Christian way. The Holy Spirit, however, gives us new desires, helping us wanting to obey God. With new hearts, hearts of flesh & not hearts of stone, we will find that serving God is our greatest joy. Under God's new covenant, God's law is inside us & not outside, ie, on a tablet of stone. No, it's written in our hearts. It is no longer an external set of rules & principles.
