The Word of the Lord came to me: Son of man, prophesy against the shepherds of Israel; prophesy & say to them: This is what the Sovereign Lord says: Woe to the shepherds of Israel who only take care of themselves. Should not shepherds take care of the flock? (Ezekiel 34:1-2). Prayer: King of kings & Lord of lords, thank you for today's text though I read it with with heaviness. My heart is in pain. I intercede for Your pastors. Most of them are pastors in the OFFICE & not pastors in HEART. They are feeding on themselves, focusing on their own comfort while neglecting the flock. Have mercy on them Lord. Forgive them. Restore them. Craft a way from where they are to where they should be. Remove the love of money & material things from them. Remove darker darkness surrounding them.Give them the grace to shepherd the flock. Thank you Father for answering my prayer. I assign angels under our complement to minister to our needs. In Jesus mighty name we pray, believe & give you thanks, Amen. Heaven Rules.
This is the covenant I will make with the house of Israel after that time, declares the Lord. I will put My laws in their minds & write them on their hearts. I will be their God, & they will be My people. No longer will a man teach his neighbor, or a man his brother, saying: Know the Lord, because they will all know Me, from the least of them to the greatest. (Hebrews 8:10-11). If our hearts are not changed, following God's rules will be unpleasant & difficult. We will rebel against being told how to live the Christian way. The Holy Spirit, however, gives us new desires, helping us wanting to obey God. With new hearts, hearts of flesh & not hearts of stone, we will find that serving God is our greatest joy. Under God's new covenant, God's law is inside us & not outside, ie, on a tablet of stone. No, it's written in our hearts. It is no longer an external set of rules & principles.
