Daily Devotional: See how each of the princes of Israel who are in you uses his power to shed blood. In you they have treated father & mother with contempt; in you they have oppressed the alien & mistreated the fatherless & the widow. (Ezekiel 22:6-7). Prayer: Father, I thank you for Jesus. Thank you for accepting my fastings & answering my prayers. Thank you for today's text on Jerusalem sins. The same is happening in the churches. We are sinning wilfully, deliberately, with full knowledge that we are sinning. We are even making plans to sin, pre-testing them to see whether our lies will hold. We are not honoring our fathers & mothers. We are not helping out the widows, orphans & fatherless. Hold us to account Father. We are now working against the principles of the Kingdom of God, causing those who would like to come in to sit on the fence. Show your power. Revive your church & restore it with power & glory. Make our hands CLEAN. Where they have blood: cause us to confess our sins & repent of them. Cleanse us by the blood of Jesus. I assign angels under our complement to act upon my prayers. In Jesus mighty name we pray, believe, & give you thanks, Amen. Heaven Rules.
This is the covenant I will make with the house of Israel after that time, declares the Lord. I will put My laws in their minds & write them on their hearts. I will be their God, & they will be My people. No longer will a man teach his neighbor, or a man his brother, saying: Know the Lord, because they will all know Me, from the least of them to the greatest. (Hebrews 8:10-11). If our hearts are not changed, following God's rules will be unpleasant & difficult. We will rebel against being told how to live the Christian way. The Holy Spirit, however, gives us new desires, helping us wanting to obey God. With new hearts, hearts of flesh & not hearts of stone, we will find that serving God is our greatest joy. Under God's new covenant, God's law is inside us & not outside, ie, on a tablet of stone. No, it's written in our hearts. It is no longer an external set of rules & principles.
