Daily Devotional: As surely as I live, declares the Sovereign Lord you will no longer quote this proverb in Israel. For every living soul belongs to me, the father as well as the son - both alike belongs to me. The soul who sins is the one who will die. (Ezekiel 18:3-4). Prayer: Father, I thank you for Jesus. Thank you for accepting my fastings & for answering my prayers. Thank you for today's text. I pray that you open our minds to understand this Scripture. Give us a revelation of it. Turn our eyes from darkness to light & from the power of satan to God. Change our mindset. Remove from us the URGE to sin. Cause us to repent & to do your will at all times so that we will live eternally with you. Erase wrong theology that is taking space in our minds regarding salvation & eternal life. I assign angels under our complement to act upon my prayers. In Jesus mighty name we pray, believe & give you thanks, Amen. Heaven Rules.
This is the covenant I will make with the house of Israel after that time, declares the Lord. I will put My laws in their minds & write them on their hearts. I will be their God, & they will be My people. No longer will a man teach his neighbor, or a man his brother, saying: Know the Lord, because they will all know Me, from the least of them to the greatest. (Hebrews 8:10-11). If our hearts are not changed, following God's rules will be unpleasant & difficult. We will rebel against being told how to live the Christian way. The Holy Spirit, however, gives us new desires, helping us wanting to obey God. With new hearts, hearts of flesh & not hearts of stone, we will find that serving God is our greatest joy. Under God's new covenant, God's law is inside us & not outside, ie, on a tablet of stone. No, it's written in our hearts. It is no longer an external set of rules & principles.
