Daily Devotional: Therefore this is what the Sovereign Lord says: You have been more unruly than the nations around you & have not followed my decrees or kept my laws. You have not even conformed to the standards of nations around you. Therefore this is what the Sovereign Lord says: I myself am against you, Jerusalem, & I will inflict punishment on you in the sight of the nations. (Ezekiel 5:7-8). Prayer; Father I thank you for Jesus. Thank you for answering my prayers & accepting my fastings. You have written these things so that we avoid making Israel's mistakes. But what do we do then, we bring worldliness in the church. There is now more worldliness in the church today than the church in the world. Father, have mercy on us. Holy Spirit, convict us in regards to sin, righteousness & judgement. Set us free from satanic oppression & give us the grace to live holy lives. Let the fruit of the Spirit increase in our lives. Let God be glorified through our lives & words. Let people see Jesus when they look at us & not satan. Help us to develop Christlike CHARACTER. I assign angels under our complement to act upon my prayers. In Jesus mighty name we pray, believe & give you thanks, Amen. Heaven Rules.
This is the covenant I will make with the house of Israel after that time, declares the Lord. I will put My laws in their minds & write them on their hearts. I will be their God, & they will be My people. No longer will a man teach his neighbor, or a man his brother, saying: Know the Lord, because they will all know Me, from the least of them to the greatest. (Hebrews 8:10-11). If our hearts are not changed, following God's rules will be unpleasant & difficult. We will rebel against being told how to live the Christian way. The Holy Spirit, however, gives us new desires, helping us wanting to obey God. With new hearts, hearts of flesh & not hearts of stone, we will find that serving God is our greatest joy. Under God's new covenant, God's law is inside us & not outside, ie, on a tablet of stone. No, it's written in our hearts. It is no longer an external set of rules & principles.
