Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon had given these orders about Jeremiah through Nebuzaradan commander of the imperial guard: Take him & look after him, don't harm him but do for him what he asks. (Jeremiah 39: 11-12). Prayer: Father, my Father, I thank you for Jesus. Thank you for hearing & answering my prayers. Thank you for accepting my fastings. In today's text we see that Jeremiah found favor from the king. Father, what you did before, you can do it again. Cause all your obedient children to find favor from you including myself. Let your favor locate us & speak for us. Let your favor surround us. I assign angels under our complement to minister to our needs. In Jesus mighty name we pray, believe & give you thanks, Amen. Heaven Rules.
This is the covenant I will make with the house of Israel after that time, declares the Lord. I will put My laws in their minds & write them on their hearts. I will be their God, & they will be My people. No longer will a man teach his neighbor, or a man his brother, saying: Know the Lord, because they will all know Me, from the least of them to the greatest. (Hebrews 8:10-11). If our hearts are not changed, following God's rules will be unpleasant & difficult. We will rebel against being told how to live the Christian way. The Holy Spirit, however, gives us new desires, helping us wanting to obey God. With new hearts, hearts of flesh & not hearts of stone, we will find that serving God is our greatest joy. Under God's new covenant, God's law is inside us & not outside, ie, on a tablet of stone. No, it's written in our hearts. It is no longer an external set of rules & principles.
