So Johanan son of Kareah & all the army officers & all the people disobeyed the Lord's command to stay in the land of Judah. (Jeremiah 43:4). Prayer: Father I thank you for Jesus. Thank you for hearing & answering my prayers. Thank you for accepting my fastings unto the Lord. We see in today's text the people disobeying your commands. Regrettably, it is also happening today. People are not standing on the authority of your Word. We are twisting the Word, adulterating the Word, believing a lie. Have mercy on us Lord. Convict us in regards to sin, righteousness & judgement by the power of the Holy Spirit. Forgive us our sins. Wash us by the blood of Jesus. Purify us from all unrighteousness. Restore us Lord. Uproot everything in our lives & churches that you did not plant. I assign angels under our complement to minister to our needs. In Jesus mighty name we pray, believe, & give you thanks, Amen. Heaven Rules.
This is the covenant I will make with the house of Israel after that time, declares the Lord. I will put My laws in their minds & write them on their hearts. I will be their God, & they will be My people. No longer will a man teach his neighbor, or a man his brother, saying: Know the Lord, because they will all know Me, from the least of them to the greatest. (Hebrews 8:10-11). If our hearts are not changed, following God's rules will be unpleasant & difficult. We will rebel against being told how to live the Christian way. The Holy Spirit, however, gives us new desires, helping us wanting to obey God. With new hearts, hearts of flesh & not hearts of stone, we will find that serving God is our greatest joy. Under God's new covenant, God's law is inside us & not outside, ie, on a tablet of stone. No, it's written in our hearts. It is no longer an external set of rules & principles.
