Then He said to me: Son of man, do you see what they are doing - the utterly detestable things the house of Israel is doing here, things that will drive me far from my sanctuary? But you will see things that are even more detestable. (Ezekiel 8:6). Prayer: Father, I thank you for Jesus. Thank you for accepting my fastings & answering my prayers. Today's text is on idolatry in the temple. We regard an idol as anything that we put first in our lives before God. The church is in the same situation like the predicament the house of Israel found themselves in. There is now more worldliness in the churches today than the church in the world. We have largely lost our mandate of going out into the world preaching the Gospel. We are now stuck in our church buildings & preaching the ADULTERATED Word. Some churches now focus more on money issues. Church is now largely fundraising. In some churches, it's all about money & not Jesus. Father, my heart is broken. This state of affairs will lead us to hell. I intercede for Your church worldwide. It has largely lost direction. Have mercy on us. Forgive us our sins. Give us the grace to repent of them. Restore the broken FELLOWSHIP with us. Restore power & glory in your church worldwide. Lead us in the way everlasting. I assign angels under our complement to act upon my prayers. In Jesus mighty name we pray, believe & give you thanks, Amen. Heaven Rules.
This is the covenant I will make with the house of Israel after that time, declares the Lord. I will put My laws in their minds & write them on their hearts. I will be their God, & they will be My people. No longer will a man teach his neighbor, or a man his brother, saying: Know the Lord, because they will all know Me, from the least of them to the greatest. (Hebrews 8:10-11). If our hearts are not changed, following God's rules will be unpleasant & difficult. We will rebel against being told how to live the Christian way. The Holy Spirit, however, gives us new desires, helping us wanting to obey God. With new hearts, hearts of flesh & not hearts of stone, we will find that serving God is our greatest joy. Under God's new covenant, God's law is inside us & not outside, ie, on a tablet of stone. No, it's written in our hearts. It is no longer an external set of rules & principles.
