The Sovereign Lord has given me a well instructed tongue, to know the Word that sustains the weary. He wakens me morning by morning, weakens my ear to listen like the one being instructed. (Isaiah 50:4). Father I thank you for Jesus. Thank you for your mercy & grace. Thank you for hearing & answering our prayers. Forgive us our sins. I pray that you give us the grace to speak the right words. Why? Because words good or bad have CREATIVE power. Thus the need to speak words which heal, build, edify, encourage, strengthen, comfort, words which are full of faith & grace. Help us Lord to speak like You. I assign angels under our complement to guard us & to minister to our needs. In Jesus mighty name we pray & believe, Amen. More prayer = more power, more wonders, more grace. Immanuel: God with us.
This is the covenant I will make with the house of Israel after that time, declares the Lord. I will put My laws in their minds & write them on their hearts. I will be their God, & they will be My people. No longer will a man teach his neighbor, or a man his brother, saying: Know the Lord, because they will all know Me, from the least of them to the greatest. (Hebrews 8:10-11). If our hearts are not changed, following God's rules will be unpleasant & difficult. We will rebel against being told how to live the Christian way. The Holy Spirit, however, gives us new desires, helping us wanting to obey God. With new hearts, hearts of flesh & not hearts of stone, we will find that serving God is our greatest joy. Under God's new covenant, God's law is inside us & not outside, ie, on a tablet of stone. No, it's written in our hearts. It is no longer an external set of rules & principles.
