The Lord says: The people come near to me with their mouths & honor Me with their lips, but their hearts are far from Me. Their worship of Me is made up only of rules taught by men. (Isaiah 29:13). What is a Christian? A Christian is a follower of Jesus Christ. How many church going people are really following Christ? Yes, they are in the church system, but they are not rooted in Christ & the Word of God. They are not sincere. When they smile at you, you might think that they really love you. But that will be FAKE, they will in essence be plotting evil against you. Hear them speak, there is no grace in their speech. These are the people mentioned in Mathew 7:21: Not everyone who says to me Lord, Lord, will enter the Kingdom of Heaven, but only he who does the will of my Father who is in Heaven. Prayer: Father, I thank you for Jesus. Thank you for hearing & answering our prayers. Forgive us our sins. Lord help us to be TRUE to You & to have Christian lives that inspire others to get saved. I assign angels under our complement to minister to our needs. In Jesus mighty name we pray, Amen. Immanuel: God with us.
This is the covenant I will make with the house of Israel after that time, declares the Lord. I will put My laws in their minds & write them on their hearts. I will be their God, & they will be My people. No longer will a man teach his neighbor, or a man his brother, saying: Know the Lord, because they will all know Me, from the least of them to the greatest. (Hebrews 8:10-11). If our hearts are not changed, following God's rules will be unpleasant & difficult. We will rebel against being told how to live the Christian way. The Holy Spirit, however, gives us new desires, helping us wanting to obey God. With new hearts, hearts of flesh & not hearts of stone, we will find that serving God is our greatest joy. Under God's new covenant, God's law is inside us & not outside, ie, on a tablet of stone. No, it's written in our hearts. It is no longer an external set of rules & principles.
