My son, do not forget my teaching, but keep my commands in your heart. (Proverbs 3:1). Where do we find the commands of God? They are written in the Bible, the Word of God. The Word of God constitutes the will of God. It is our standard for daily living as Christians. It is life. It is Spirit. It is our spiritual food. It is our spiritual weapon. Obey God & His Word in total. Digest it & internalize it. The Lord will make you prosper in all areas of your life. You will pray His will continually & in faith. The Holy Spirit will use the Word of God to change your life & renew your mind. Remember: The Holy Spirit is the real author of the Bible. So as you read it DEVOTIONALLY, you are reading the Holy Spirit. Prayer: Father, I thank you for Jesus. Thank you for the speedy answers to our prayers. Help us to hide your Word in our hearts so that we will not sin against Thee. Help us to meditate on Your Word so that we will be successful & prosperous. I assign angels under our complement. Let them minister to our daily needs. In Jesus mighty name we pray, believe, & give you thanks, Amen. Immanuel: God with us. Heaven Rules.
This is the covenant I will make with the house of Israel after that time, declares the Lord. I will put My laws in their minds & write them on their hearts. I will be their God, & they will be My people. No longer will a man teach his neighbor, or a man his brother, saying: Know the Lord, because they will all know Me, from the least of them to the greatest. (Hebrews 8:10-11). If our hearts are not changed, following God's rules will be unpleasant & difficult. We will rebel against being told how to live the Christian way. The Holy Spirit, however, gives us new desires, helping us wanting to obey God. With new hearts, hearts of flesh & not hearts of stone, we will find that serving God is our greatest joy. Under God's new covenant, God's law is inside us & not outside, ie, on a tablet of stone. No, it's written in our hearts. It is no longer an external set of rules & principles.
