The crucible for silver & the furnace for gold, but the Lord tests the heart. (Proverbs 17:3). Before you progress to a new level of grace, or before God promotes you, He tests your CHARACTER. He tests the heart. You have to pass that test first & status change will come. In the Kingdom of God we go through many tests. Each course serves a purpose. They are no shortcuts. Our God is not like men who looks at the outward appearance. He looks inwardly at the heart. Let our hearts be pure, & we will be blessed & see God. Let us have a broken & contrite heart. This state enables us to be GENTLE like the Holy Spirit. God does not despise such. Prayer: Father, I thank you for Jesus. Thank you in advance for the answered prayers. We praise you Jesus, the root & offspring of David. The Bright Morning Star. We confess our sins & repent of them. We sin in word, in deed & in thought. Wash us by the blood of Jesus. Let Your Word make us CLEAN. Remove the heart of stone in us & replace it with a tender heart. I put to action angels under our complement. Let them minister to our needs. This is the covenant I will make with the house of Israel after that time, declares the Lord. I will put My laws in their minds & write them on their hearts. I will be their God, & they will be My people. No longer will a man teach his neighbor, or a man his brother, saying: Know the Lord, because they will all know Me, from the least of them to the greatest. (Hebrews 8:10-11). If our hearts are not changed, following God's rules will be unpleasant & difficult. We will rebel against being told how to live the Christian way. The Holy Spirit, however, gives us new desires, helping us wanting to obey God. With new hearts, hearts of flesh & not hearts of stone, we will find that serving God is our greatest joy. Under God's new covenant, God's law is inside us & not outside, ie, on a tablet of stone. No, it's written in our hearts. It is no longer an external set of rules & principles.
