Train a child in the way he should go, & when he is old he will not turn from it. (Proverbs 22:6). Church starts at home. As a family, you must study the Word with your children & pray with them. Make it very short & simple. Give them an opportunity to lead the the study. When they go to corporate church, Sunday school leaders will find it easy to build on the foundation already laid at home. When they go to school, teachers will increase the values set at home. This foundation, satan will not destroy it. Our children may be affected by peer pressure when they are old but they will come right, back to their senses because of the values given them when they were young.The Holy Spirit will bring these values back in their hearts & minds. Christ's foundation is a very strong foundation. No one can tamper with it & succeed. Prayer: Father, I want to thank you for Jesus. My Rock, my refuge, my fortress, my strong tower, the horn of my salvation. We confess our sins & repent of them. Bring back into the fold our children who have gone off course. I believe that you are able to do it. Nothing is difficult with You. I assign angels under our complement to minister to our needs. In Jesus mighty name we pray & believe, Amen. This is the covenant I will make with the house of Israel after that time, declares the Lord. I will put My laws in their minds & write them on their hearts. I will be their God, & they will be My people. No longer will a man teach his neighbor, or a man his brother, saying: Know the Lord, because they will all know Me, from the least of them to the greatest. (Hebrews 8:10-11). If our hearts are not changed, following God's rules will be unpleasant & difficult. We will rebel against being told how to live the Christian way. The Holy Spirit, however, gives us new desires, helping us wanting to obey God. With new hearts, hearts of flesh & not hearts of stone, we will find that serving God is our greatest joy. Under God's new covenant, God's law is inside us & not outside, ie, on a tablet of stone. No, it's written in our hearts. It is no longer an external set of rules & principles.
