Unless the Lord builds the house, it's builders labor in vain. Unless the Lord watches over the city, the watchmen stand guard in vain. (Psalm 127:1). A Christian marriage is like a three legged African pot. It comprises of three parts - husband, wife & God. It is like a TRIANGLE. The tip of the triangle is where God is positioned. The two base or wider sides of the triangle are where the husband & wife are positioned, each on his or her own side. For the marriage to stand, the husband must leave his position & walk towards God. The wife must also leave her position & go towards God. If they go towards each other, they will clash; they will be conflict. As both goes in the direction of God, the triangle becomes narrow & narrow. Meaning: our problems or differences will become less & less. Our hearts will be knitted together & we will live in a good & understanding manner. We will love each other deeply & respect each other.They will be PEACE in the home. God will be glorified in our marriages. We will be a shining example in the communities. Prayer: Father I thank you for Jesus. Thank you for hearing & answering my prayer. Fill our marriages with deep & genuine love, joy & peace. Be the master builder of our marriages. I put to action angels that you have assigned to us. Let them minister to our marriage needs. In Jesus mighty name we pray & give you thanks, Amen. Immanuel: God with us. Heaven Rules.
This is the covenant I will make with the house of Israel after that time, declares the Lord. I will put My laws in their minds & write them on their hearts. I will be their God, & they will be My people. No longer will a man teach his neighbor, or a man his brother, saying: Know the Lord, because they will all know Me, from the least of them to the greatest. (Hebrews 8:10-11). If our hearts are not changed, following God's rules will be unpleasant & difficult. We will rebel against being told how to live the Christian way. The Holy Spirit, however, gives us new desires, helping us wanting to obey God. With new hearts, hearts of flesh & not hearts of stone, we will find that serving God is our greatest joy. Under God's new covenant, God's law is inside us & not outside, ie, on a tablet of stone. No, it's written in our hearts. It is no longer an external set of rules & principles.
