No one from the east or the west or from the desert can exalt a man. But it is God who judges: He brings one down, He exalts another. (Psalm 75: 6-7). I have noticed that many people including the elect struggle with the issue of leadership. Some even try unethical methods to change leadership. I am talking of leadership at all levels - governing, church, etc. Let me tell you the truth: Leaders come from God. It is God who puts them into office. It is God who removes them from office. It is written: The heart of the king is in the hand of the Lord; He directs it like a waterhouse wherever He pleases. (Proverbs 21:1). If He wants him to die, you just wake up tomorrow morning & the whole nation has been plunged into mourning. Even when bad leaders come into office, God would have ALLOWED it. There is always a reason why He would have allowed it. It is more spiritual than physical. It will result in our spiritual development; growth & maturity if we handle it Biblically. God is preparing us for the challenges ahead. Trust His process. Desist from the practice of using unethical means to change leadership. This is a worldly manner of doing things. Christianity has no part in that. Desist from the practice of engaging into wars in a bid to change leaders. Pray, pray, pray & believe God's will for the situation. God is in control & has the final say. One can say, but we vote for a leader. Yes, very correct, God will just influence people to vote in the way He likes. Its this simple to Him. He is the One who puts leadership into office. He is the One who removes them from office. Be enlightened. How do we handle the situation then? Pray. Prayer changes things. Prayer moves mountains.  I pray as follows: Prayer: Father, I pray for kings & those in authority that we may live peaceful & quiet lives in all godliness & holiness. Your Word says that the heart of the king is in your hand & that you turn it wherever pleases you. Cause our leaders to be God centred & people centred. Cause them to be selfless & not selfish. The spirit behind corruption & drug abuse, I come against it in the name of Jesus. I suffocate it in Jesus name. Those who are stubborn & who refuse to do the right thing, taking delight in amassing wealth themselves while everyone else is suffering, i make this appeal to you: Call them to the next age. Your will be done. They are already in your hand, & you do what you want with them. Thank you Jesus for hearing & answering my prayer.
