Be merciful to me, O God, men hotly pursue me; all day long they press their attack. (Psalm 56:1). The Bible says: Blessed are the merciful for they will receive mercy. Mercy is one of the weightier standards or pillars in the Kingdom of God. Let us speak & act as those who are going to be judged by the law that gives freedom, because judgement without mercy will be shown to anyone who has not been merciful. Mercy triumphs over judgement. Prayer: Son of David, have mercy on my enemies. Let your mercy locate them & speak for them. Be merciful to those who doubt. I pray that mercy, peace & love be upon your people in abundance. Thank you for hearing & answering my prayer even before I finished writing it. Put your angels to action & let them minister to our varying needs as individuals, families, communities, ministries, churches & nations. In Jesus mighty name we pray, Amen. Good morning Holy Spirit. This is the covenant I will make with the house of Israel after that time, declares the Lord. I will put My laws in their minds & write them on their hearts. I will be their God, & they will be My people. No longer will a man teach his neighbor, or a man his brother, saying: Know the Lord, because they will all know Me, from the least of them to the greatest. (Hebrews 8:10-11). If our hearts are not changed, following God's rules will be unpleasant & difficult. We will rebel against being told how to live the Christian way. The Holy Spirit, however, gives us new desires, helping us wanting to obey God. With new hearts, hearts of flesh & not hearts of stone, we will find that serving God is our greatest joy. Under God's new covenant, God's law is inside us & not outside, ie, on a tablet of stone. No, it's written in our hearts. It is no longer an external set of rules & principles.
