Sing joyfully to the Lord, you righteous; it is fitting for the upright to praise Him. Praise the Lord with the harp; make music to Him on the ten stringed lyre. Sing to Him a new song, play skillfully & shout for joy. (Psalms 33:1-3). God wants us to praise Him & to worship Him alone. He is a jealous God, He doesn't want to be double crossed with satan. He wants us to be righteous & to sing joyfully to the Lord. He wants us to sing to Him a new song & from the heart. Those who play the musical instruments must play skillfully & not make organized noise. As we sing to the Lord, let us be upright. Let us be Christians in HEART & not only seen to be Christians by wearing church uniforms. Let us produce fruit in keeping with our repentance. Let us sing from the heart. Let us think deeply about what we are singing & INTERNALIZE the words in our heart. There is a difference between singing to the Lord & making a PERFORMANCE.  God is not interested in performances. He is interested in praise & worship offered to Him by the righteous, & coming from deep down their hearts. He wants us to sing a new song all the time.  The Lord loves righteousness & justice. Let us put weightier things first. When you sing as a group, reduce your speed so that you will have time to focus on what you are singing & INTERNALIZE the words for your edification. Praise is not only about dancing in church & before the people to be seen by them & to make a name for yourself. Praise is a lifestyle. Wherever you are, your lips must praise God. It is sad that we have reduced church to ENTERTAINMENT.  Church is not entertainment.  It is EQUIPPING. We are equipped for the work of service. We are equipped so that we grow spiritually & praise & worship God the right way, in spirit & in truth & not in the flesh. Prayer: I pray that the Holy Spirit will give you guidance on this matter of singing joyfully to the Lord viz a viz making performances only. Let us be Christians in heart, the Spirit of the Lord will inspire us to do it right. Our lives will change & our minds renewed through singing Word based songs & internalizing the words in our hearts. In Jesus mighty name we pray & believe, Amen. Good morning Holy Spirit. No weapons formed against me shall prosper. The devil has been fighting me from my youth. He for years struck me with terrible & terminal sicknesses, but God healed me.
