But when they saw Him walking on the lake, they thought He was a ghost. They cried out, because they all saw Him & were terrified. Immediately He spoke to them & said: Take courage. It is I. Dont be afraid. Then He climbed into the boat with them, & the wind died down. They were completely amazed, for they had not understood about the loaves; their hearts were hardened. (Mark 6:49-52). The disciples were surprised to see Jesus walking on the water. They were afraid, but Jesus' presence calmed their fears. We all experience fear in some way. Do we try to deal with it ourselves, or do we let Jesus deal with it? In times of fear & uncertainty, it is calming to know that Christ is always with us. To recognize Christ is the antidote of fear. 1. We can overcome fear by living by faith. Where there is faith, fear cannot be present. Where there is fear, faith will not be there; unbelief, doubt will be present. 2. We can overcome fear by being filled with the Holy Spirit. He is not a spirit of fear but of power. When you are filled by Him, you will not have fear; you will be bold, & very courageous. You will not fear death, you will preach the Word of God amid much opposition. 3. Love God a lot & love others a lot. Why? The Bible says: Perfect love casts out fear. These are some of the ways in which we can deal with fear. Thank you Jesus. Good morning Holy Spirit. Father, I pray for all Christians. Remove fear from our lives & give us the grace to stand out & stand up for Jesus Christ. Help us to preach the Gospel amid much opposition. Help us to stand for the TRUTH of the Gospel always. Help us to have a Bible reading & meditation of the Word culture. Help us to obey Your Word in total. Your Word is our spiritual food. It nourishes us & gives us strength, direction & guidance. The Holy Spirit uses Your Word when dealing with us. Your Word is our spiritual weapon. We can use it to deal with fear & satan. Though satan is perceived as a nuisance by many, he bows before your Word. We can overcome him by quoting the Word that we believe into the situation. He cannot stand Your presence. Thank you Jesus for this dialogue prayer. Thank you for hearing & answering my prayer. In Jesus mighty name we pray, believe & give you thanks, Amen. Peace be with you.

No longer will a man teach his neighbor, or a man his brother, saying: Know the Lord, because they will all know Me, from the least of them to the greatest. (Hebrews 8:10-11). If our hearts are not changed, following God's rules will be unpleasant & difficult. We will rebel against being told how to live the Christian way. The Holy Spirit, however, gives us new desires, helping us wanting to obey God. With new hearts, hearts of flesh & not hearts of stone, we will find that serving God is our greatest joy. Under God's new covenant, God's law is inside us & not outside, ie, on a tablet of stone. No, it's written in our hearts. It is no longer an external set of rules & principles. The Holy Spirit reminds us of Christ's words, activates our ...
