He replied: Isaiah was right when he prophesied about you hypocrites; as it is written: These people honor me with their lips, but their hearts are far from me. They worship Me in vain; their teachings are but rules taught by men. (Mark 7:6-7). Hypocrisy is pretending to be something you are not & have no intention of being TRUE to God. Jesus called the Pharisees hypocrites because they worshipped God for the wrong reasons. Their worship was not motivated by LOVE, but by a desire to attain profit, to appear holy, & to increase their status. We become hypocrites when we: 1. Pay more attention to reputation than to CHARACTER; 2.carefully follow certain religious practices while allowing our hearts to remain distant from God. God wants us to worship Him in spirit & in truth. He wants us to have lives which inspire others to get saved & to be true to God. Many people in the church today have reverted to HYPOCRISY status. Witnessing Jesus Christ is foreign to them. They do not win souls for God; they influence other believers to leave their churches & come to theirs; portraying themselves as the best. BUT when you join them you will see that they are the worst. Those who come to church on their own, they corrupt them, hindering them to give God a whole hearted devotion. Those new people who refuse to be corrupted just stop coming to church & look elsewhere for fellowship. Many people in the world are sitting on the fence. Many doors of opportunity for the spread of the Gospel are closed. What is the problem? The world is seeing that it has penetrated in the churches & have no need to repent. They do not take us seriously; they will only do so when there is more of the church in the world; when we have Christian CHARACTER. The world is seeing our hypocrisy. We are like a letter which is read by all. We, who say Lord, Lord, have remained largely religious & not righteous. Why? This is because man made rules are dominant in our lives & churches than the Word of God. SELF is increasing while JESUS is reducing. We have created what I would call Christian RELIGION.  Religion at best makes one religious. Only Jesus makes us righteous. Lord Jesus, help us. I end here. Thank you Jesus. Good morning Holy Spirit. Prayer: Father, I rebuke the spirit behind hypocrisy among many Christians today in Jesus name. I loose the power of God, the power of deliverance in Jesus name. Open their eyes & turn them from darkness to light & from the hold of satan to God. Remove the veil that is blinding their minds. Set them free indeed in Jesus name. Holy Spirit, convict them in regards to sin, righteousness & judgement. I declare in the name of Jesus Christ: You are free. You are delivered.  Thank you Father for your divine intervention. Thank you for restoring your church & for setting it up on its rightful position in the world. I believe that you have done it. Faith believes NOW. Faith receives  NOW.
