A furious squall came up, & the waves broke over the boat, so that it was nearly swamped. Jesus was in the stern, sleeping on a cushion. The disciples woke Him & said to Him: Teacher, don't you care if we drown? He got up, rebuked the wind & said to the waves: Quiet! Be still! Then the wind died down & it was completely calm. He said to His disciples: Why are you so afraid? Do you still have no faith? They were terrified & asked each other: Who is this? Even the wind & the waves obey Him! (Mark 4:37-41). The disciples were seasoned fishermen who had spent their lives fishing on this huge lake, but during this squall they panicked. They panicked because the storm threatened to destroy them all, & Jesus seemed unaware & unconcerned. Theirs was a physical storm,  but the storms come in other forms. Think about the storms in your life - the situations that cause you great anxiety.  Whatever your difficulty, you have two options: You can worry & assume that Jesus no longer cares, or you can resist fear using the Word of God, putting your trust in Him. When you feel like panicking, confess your need for God & then trust Him to care for you. In our lives as Christians, we speak to three areas mostly: 1. We talk to God. 2. We talk to one another in LOVE & with GRACE. 3. We speak to evil spirits, mountains & storms, etc. Get me correct here: We do not always pray about situations. Jesus did not pray in this case. Sometimes you just rebuke the spirit & it leaves you. Sometimes you just speak to the mountain, & it it will move. Sometimes, you just rebuke the wind: Hush, be still, & it will be perfectly calm. Sometimes you just speak to the dead girl: Little girl, I say to you, Arise, & she will get up. Sometimes you just speak life to dry bones & it will be so. If you are God fearing  & obedient, * what you decide will be done. Light will shine in your ways. (Job 22:28). ** What you say will be done provided you do not doubt. (Mark 11:23). This needs faith & entails DIALOGUE prayers. Speak the Word of God that you believe & watch God honor His Word or confirm it. Thank you Jesus. Good morning Holy Spirit. Prayer: Whatever your situation, you spirit, I rebuke you in the name of Jesus, release your hold on God's people. I say to this mountain, MOVE, in the name of Jesus Christ. Get out of the way of the elect in Jesus name. I say to all the storms that seek to drown God's people: Hush! Be still in Jesus name. Sickness & disease, i bind you in the name of Jesus. I loose the power of God, the power of healing & deliverance, in Jesus name. I declare in the name of Jesus Christ: You are free. You are healed. You are delivered. Give thanks to God.Lord Jesus, put your angels to action. Amen. Peace be with you.
