Salt is good, but if it loses its saltiness, how can it be made salty again? (Luke 14:34). Salt can lose its flavor. When it gets wet & then dries, nothing is left but a tasteless residue. Many Christians blend into the world  & avoid the cost of standing up for Christ. But Jesus says that if Christians  lose their distinctive saltiness, they become worthless. They cannot impact the communities. Just as salt flavors & preserves food, we as God's children are to preserve the good in the world, help keep it from spilling, & bring new flavor to life. We are to have lives which inspire others to get saved & to be true to God. We are to be a good influence to the society & not a bad one. If we lose our saltiness, we will become a bad influence. We will remain Christians only by going to church, but we will no longer be growing Christians, growing in the Word, growing in Christ, growing in the grace. We will also not grow in the use of our gifts. We will enter into a backslidden state though we will be going to church or even may be ministers. We will insult the Spirit of grace & nail Jesus Christ to the cross again. We will render the blood of Jesus as useless. We will be more worldly than Christians. Jesus will REDUCE in our lives & self will increase again. That old person who was dethroned at salvation will bounce back in your life & you will be stubborn & sin wilfully, etc. This is an overview of what happens when we lose our saltiness. Church, let us have willing sacrifice & unswerving commitment to Christ's Kingdom. Being salty is not easy, but if a Christian fails in this function, he or she fails to represent Christ in the world. How salty are you? How can you maintain saltiness? Be devoted to prayer & the Word of God. Read or study the Word, hide it in your heart, meditate on it day & night & obey its principles. Fast regulary. For you to get rid of some spirits from your life or from the life of another, you need to pray & fast regulary. The Bible says: This kind cannot go except by prayer & fasting. By way of testimony, I thank the Lord that He enabled me to pray & fast a lot over people's prayer requests. If I receive a prayer request, the Holy Spirit will give me a divine plan; how I will pray for the situation, when, etc. The plan may also include fasting, how I am going to fast, for how long. I thank God for this surpassing grace. Praise the Lord. Hallelujah!!! Thank you Jesus.  Good morning Holy Spirit. Prayer: Father, many of us Christians  of today have lost our saltiness. We have blended with the world & are now more worldly. We are now a bad influence though in the church. I pray that you RESCUE us from this situation & make us salty again. Forgive us our sins.  Wash us by the blood of Jesus. Purify us from all unrighteousness.  Help us to be in sync with You. Thank you Jesus for hearing & answering my prayer. Assign your angels. Let them minister to our needs. In Jesus mighty name we pray & believe, Amen.  Grace & peace be with you.
