As He approached the town gate, a dead person was being carried out - the only son of his mother & she was a widow.  And a large crowd from the town was with her. When the Lord saw her, His heart went out to her & He said: Don't cry. Then He went up & touched the coffin & those carrying it stood still. He said: Young man, I say to you get up. The dead man sat up & began to talk & Jesus gave him back to his mother. (Luke 7:12-15). Jesus raised a widow's son from the dead. He did not limit us. He said that if we believe Him, we will do what He did. Not only that, He said that we will do GREATER things than He did in His earthly ministry.  Faith & obedience to God & His Word is what will position us to this level of ministry. God wants us to raise the dead, to open up blind eyes, etc, so that He can prove to the world that He is the Most High God. We are the vessels that He will use for the purpose. Are you ready to be used by Him at this level of ministry? Are you a growing Christian, one who is devoted to prayer & the ministry of the Word? Do you meet God in His Word daily & obey it? Is your faith being strengthened with the Word of God by the Spirit? If so, you are ready. When the Holy Spirit prompts you, obey Him. Do not fear. Do not doubt. Trust God & pray for the situation. Your SIMPLE prayer of faith will influence God to change the circumstances, raise the dead, heal the sick, open up blind eyes, etc. But do not do it on your own understanding. You have to be prompted by the Holy Spirit first. When Jesus saw the widow, His heart went out to her. In other words, His heart was prompted by the Spirit & He had compassion on the woman. We know that God wants to do something in & through us when He prompts us. It's not by our might or power, but by the Spirit of the Lord. We have to be filled by the Holy Spirit & be led by Him to operate at this level of ministry. Faith, love,  obedience & character are key virtues. Faith connects us to God. We receive all things from God by faith. Without faith, we cannot receive anything. How do we get this faith? It comes by hearing the Word of God or the message of Christ. If you are consistent in hearing the Word, reading it, studying it, hiding it in your heart, meditating on it & obeying it, - faith comes. But we must not read the Bible like a novel. We must read it devotionally.  Before you read it - pray: Ask God to open your mind to understand the Scriptures. He will gladly do so & you will have clarity & balance. You will not only know the stories recorded in the Bible, but you will know the God behind those stories as well. The Holy Spirit will transform your life & renew your mind using the Word of God. Place much reliance on God & His Word. Thank you Jesus. Good morning Holy Spirit. Prayer: Father, strengthen our faith to believe you in total. Remove fear from our lives. Remove doubt from our lives. Position us to believe you for greater things, BIG things, uncommon things, things which no eye has seen & no ear has heard. Do this with us Lord as we meet you in your Word daily, pray, believe & obey your Word. Make us humble, gentle, loving, forgiving, faithful, just & Word based.  They have greatly oppressed me from my youth - let Israel say - they have greatly oppressed me from my youth but they have not gained victory over me. (Psalm 129:1-2). No weapons formed against me shall prosper. The devil has been fighting me from my youth. He for years struck me with terrible & terminal sicknesses, but God healed me.
