But you will receive POWER when the Holy Spirit comes on you; & you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, & in all Judea & Samaria, & to the ends of the earth. (Acts 1:8). Before the disciples were filled with the Holy Spirit, they were full of fear; they were confined to an upper room, praying. But when the Holy Spirit came upon their lives, they received POWER to WITNESS the resurrection of Jesus Christ & became bold, courageous, confident, received insight, ability & authority. The disciples would need all these gifts to fulfil their mission. The sign of being filled by the Holy Spirit is not speaking in tongues only. When one is filled by the Holy Spirit, he will begin to preach the Gospel to all creation. He will begin to make disciples of all nations; growing them in the Word of God. We will not be confined to our church buildings only, we will influence the world more for Jesus. They will be more of the church in the world. We will not fear men or satan anymore. Rather, we will be bold, loving, powerful & self disciplined. God will work with us & confirm His Word with miracles, signs & wonders. We will not look for miracles or stage manage them. Because we are obedient to God & His Word, because we are cooperating with the Holy Spirit, miracles will follow us. We will not struggle to work them out. Its as easy as breathing. The Holy Spirit is God in ACTION. Wherever the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty or freedom. People are saved, healed, delivered, & set free indeed. We will live by faith. God will credit our faith as righteousness. This righteousness will lead to holiness. Church, note that without holiness, no one will see the Lord. Without pure hearts we will not see the Lord. We will only be ACTING Christianity if we do so, but we will not see the Lord. The Bible says so. What shall we do then? Let us make peace with God & be filled & led by the Holy Spirit. We will live holy lives, our character will change to be Christlike, our minds will be renewed. We will set our minds on things in Heaven above & not on earthly things. We will think godly thoughts. How? It's simple. Daily, hear the Word, read it, study the Word, hide it in your heart so that you will not sin against God, meditate on it & apply the Word to your life daily. Pray His will continually. Believe in Jesus Christ & speak the Word in general conversation. Note that faith must be lived by; faith must be confessed. Your faith can only go as HIGH as the level of your confession. This way, you can experience the POWER of the Holy Spirit in your life. Thank you Jesus. Good morning Holy Spirit. Prayer: Father, remove all emotions from our worship. Make us still so that we worship you at your footstool: we can lie prostrate in worship. When we are still & not under the influence of emotions, we will hear your small, still voice. Your voice gives us guidance & direction. Help us to obey God & His Word in total. Make us humble, loving, & gentle in heart. The Holy Spirit is gentle. Help us to be gentle, forgiving, faithful & Word based. In Jesus mighty name we pray & believe, Amen. God bless you all.
This is the covenant I will make with the house of Israel after that time, declares the Lord. I will put My laws in their minds & write them on their hearts. I will be their God, & they will be My people. No longer will a man teach his neighbor, or a man his brother, saying: Know the Lord, because they will all know Me, from the least of them to the greatest. (Hebrews 8:10-11). If our hearts are not changed, following God's rules will be unpleasant & difficult. We will rebel against being told how to live the Christian way. The Holy Spirit, however, gives us new desires, helping us wanting to obey God. With new hearts, hearts of flesh & not hearts of stone, we will find that serving God is our greatest joy. Under God's new covenant, God's law is inside us & not outside, ie, on a tablet of stone. No, it's written in our hearts. It is no longer an external set of rules & principles. The Holy Spirit reminds us of Christ's words, activates our ...
