If you love Me, you will obey what I command. And I will ask the Father, & He will give you another Counselor to be with you forever - the Spirit of truth. (John 14:15-17). Jesus was soon going to leave the disciples, but He would remain with them. How could this be? The Counselor  - the Spirit of God Himself - would come after Jesus was gone to care for & guide the disciples. The regenerating power of the Holy Spirit was poured out on all the believers at Pentecost, shortly after Jesus ascended to Heaven. The Holy Spirit is the very presence of God within us & all the believers, helping us live as God wants & building Christ's church. He is God in action. Wherever the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty. People are set free. When He comes on us, we will receive power to witness the resurrection of Jesus Christ to the remotest parts of the earth; power to heal, power to deliver, power to work out miracles in the name of Jesus Christ. We will not fear satan or the world anymore, will be very bold when we are filled by the Holy Spirit. We will have divine power, become very loving & self disciplined. We will love God & one another wholeheartedly & deeply. The Holy Spirit uses the Word of God to transform our lives, renew our minds, & change our attitude, motives & focus. We will be enabled to live a life of holiness. The Holy Spirit will help you to make a covenant with your eyes so that we will not look lustfully on women. The Holy Spirit is the Spirit of Truth, He leads us in the way everlasting. He is the real author of the Bible. How? He inspired men who wrote it. He operates strictly in accordance with the Word of God, ie, the Bible. If we find ourselves compromising the Bible, distorting it, adulterating it, know that we are not operating under the influence of the Holy Spirit. A contrary spirit will be in control of your life. The Holy Spirit can make you a moving Bible without going to a Bible school or ministry training college. I am one person whom He did this with. When we are filled with the Holy Spirit, the fruit of the Spirit will manifest in our lives in an increasing measure. Our lives will manifest love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, & self control. We will not only speak in tongues but will witness Jesus Christ to the lost & dying world & produce the fruit of the Spirit in our lives, please take note. By faith in Jesus Christ, we can appropriate the Spirit's power each day. The Holy Spirit will be with us forever; the world cannot accept Him or receive Him; He lives with us & in us; He teaches us; He reminds us of Jesus' words; He convicts us of sin, shows us God's righteousness  & announces God's judgement on evil. He guides us into all the truth & gives us insight into future events. He brings glory to Christ. The Holy Spirit has been active among people from the beginning of time, but at Pentecost He came to live on all believers. Many people are unaware of the Holy Spirit's activities, but to those who hear Christ's words & understand the Spirit's power, the Holy Spirit gives a whole new way to look at life. The Holy Spirit opens our minds to understand the Scriptures. He intercedes daily for all the saints with groans that words cannot express. He teaches us how to pray. I can go on & on but for now let me end here. I urge all believers & ministers to kindly check yourselves in accordance with the Word of God. Weigh everything that you do or say or think in the light of God's Word. Check your spirit, if it is the spirit of truth & not a contrary spirit. Thank you Jesus. Good morning Holy Spirit. Prayer: I rebuke the contrary spirit that is in operation in your church in the name of Jesus Christ. You spirit, release your hold on God's people. I declare in Jesus name: You are free. Your Word says that satan masquerade as an angel of light, his servants masquerade as an angel of righteousness. Help us to be discerning. Expose these spirits in Jesus name. Many of your children & ministers are being influenced by this spirit. Open the eyes of your people & turn them from darkness to light, from the power of satan to God. Fill us with your Holy Spirit of Truth. Fill us with God's grace & power. Fill us with your faith, wisdom & surpassingly great revelations. Thank you Jesus for hearing & answering my prayer.
