To the Jews who had believed Him, Jesus said: If you hold to my teaching, you are really my disciples. Then you will know the truth, & the truth will set you free. (John 8:31-32). Jesus  Himself is the truth that sets us free. He is the source of truth, the perfect standard of what is right. He frees us from the consequences of sin, from self-deception, & from deception by satan. He heals us from sickness & disease; delivers us from poverty, & all forms of satanic oppression. He shows us clearly the way to eternal life with God. Thus, Jesus does not give us freedom to do what we want, but freedom to follow God. As we seek to serve God, Jesus' perfect truth frees us to be all that God meant us to be. How can we know this truth? We need to hold on to the teaching of Christ. Those who do so, who abide in His Word, who are true to God, are really His disciples. And those who don't abide in His Word are not His disciples. They are not His followers. Yes, they may be members of the local churches, but they are not His disciples. What is a Christian? A Christian is a follower of Jesus Christ. We follow Christ's teachings, His example, etc. We follow in His steps. If we are busy doing our own thing, following the names of the ministers, people whom God created, some of who have adulterated the Word, twisted it, distorted it, you have missed the mark my brother or sister. Mathew 7:21-23 will be fulfilled in your life. What does it say? Not everyone who says to Me Lord, Lord, will enter the Kingdom of Heaven, but only he who does the will of my Father who is in Heaven. Many will say to me on that day: Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name, & in your name drive out demons & perform many miracles? Then I will tell them plainly: I never knew you. Away from Me, you evil doers. It is possible for one to prophesy, cast out demons & work out miracles when he or she is an evil doer. His miracles, healings & deliverances do not lead people to God, the Miracle worker, the Healer, the Deliverer, they lead people to himself or herself. People know more about him & his church than they know about Jesus. They do not make Jesus & the Word of God VIRAL, they promote themselves & cause divisions in the church, making themselves superstars. Are they really superstars? No, not at all, but Jesus is. Church, I urge you not to follow men, no matter how powerful he is. Man is the created, follow Christ. Follow in His footsteps. Be guided by the Word of God & the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit uses the Word of God to transform our lives & renew our minds. The Holy Spirit is the real author of the Bible. So the Word & the Spirit are one. When you read the Bible, you are reading the Holy Spirit. It is a Spirit filled book. No other book in all the world is Spirit filled. So hear it, read it with prayer, study it, meditate on it, hide it in your heart so that you will not sin against God, obey its principles. This way, you will live a life of holiness, you will have victory always, good success, prosperity, favor, breakthrough, supernatural provision, overflow, etc. If you have missed the mark, do not condemn yourself. Jesus loves you. I love you as well. Repent, make peace with God & continue your humble walk with Him. Thank you Jesus. Good morning Holy Spirit. Prayer: Father, help us to hold to Christ's teachings. Help us to have a Bible reading & meditation culture. Help us to start the day with you daily, reading the Word of God, commiting the day to you in prayer, meditating on the passage read & applying it to our lives daily. Open our minds to understand the Scriptures. Through the Scriptures, turn us from darkness to light & from satan to God. Give us the ability to distinguish between spirits. Lead us in the way everlasting. Thank you Jesus for hearing & answering my prayer. In Jesus mighty name we pray & believe, Amen.  Grace & peace be with you.
