As Simon Peter stood warming himself, he was asked: You are not one of His disciples are you? He denied it saying: I am not. One of the high priest's servant, a relative of the man whose ear Peter had cut off, challenged him: Didn't I see you with Him in the olive grove? Again Peter denied it, & at the moment a rooster began to crow. ( John  18:25-27). Imagine standing outside while Jesus, your Lord & Master is questioned. Imagine watching this man, whom you have come to believe is the long-awaited Messiah, being abused & beaten. Naturally, Peter was confused & afraid. It is a serious sin to disown Christ but Jesus forgave Peter. (see John 21:15-17). No sin is too great for Jesus to forgive if you are truly repentant. He will forgive even your worst sin if you turn from it & ask His pardon. He did it with Peter, He will do it with you, if are truly repentant. By way of testimony, I had serious character flaws, had an I don't care attitude & could speak the truth carelessly, without due care & love. I was very judgemental. The Bible says: speak the truth in love, restore the one who has sinned in the spirit of gentleness. I was rough & doing the opposite. God had mercy on me. I gave Him all the broken pieces & He has produced this wonderful man whom you are now dealing with - a man of integrity, one who speaks healing words, words which build, edify, encourage, strengthen, comfort, word which are full of faith & gives grace to those who hear them. I now speak a new language: the language of the Bible. God has made me a moving Bible. I am now full of the Holy Spirit, full of faith, full of wisdom, full of God's grace & power. This process took decades of years before I became a valuable & impactful member of the Body of Christ. It was not an easy road. It was very tough indeed, but God saved me, delivered me, called me into the ministry, prepared me largely in the furnace of affliction, & now has qualified me & empowered me for the mission. Praise the Lord. Let us repent genuinely, let us be true to God. Let us obey God & His Word in total. Jesus said in John 14:15: If you love me, you will do what I command. I add: We will cooperate with the Holy Spirit. We will not keep on sinning deliberately if we love Jesus. We will not nail Jesus Christ again by the way we live & insult the Spirit of grace. We will not render the blood of Jesus as useless by sinning wilfully. When we are disobedient to God & His Word, this is what we will be doing in essence. This is how God perceives us to be doing. Lord Jesus, help us as your church, Amen. Thank you Jesus. Good morning Holy Spirit.  Prayer: Father, align our lives to Your Word. Align our words to Your Word.  Your Word says: A righteous man falls seven times & rises again. Help us to rise from our fallen state, repent & continue our humble walk with you. Help us to encourage others to enter into a relationship with You. Help us to be their spiritual models or example as we follow the example of Christ.  Help us to invest our lives into their lives until they become committed, dedicated, fruitful, mature Christians, who are able to help others the same way. Help us to grow them in the Word & to help them develop roots in Christ. Forgive our sins & purify us from all unrighteousness.  Thank you Jesus for hearing us & answering my prayer.  As we have prayed, put your angels to action. Fill us anew with your Holy Spirit. Give us the grace to avail ourselves to His leading. In Jesus mighty name we pray  & believe, Amen. Grace & peace be with you.
