Jesus said to her: I am the resurrection & the life. He who believes in Me will live, even though he dies; & whoever lives & believes in Me will never die. Do you believe this? Yes Lord, she told Him: I believe you are the Christ, the Son of God who was to come into the world. (John 11:25-27). Jesus has power over life & death as well as power to forgive sins. This is because He is the Creator of life. ( see John 14:6). He who is life can surely restore life. Whoever believes in Christ  has a spiritual life that death cannot conquer or diminish in any way. When we realize His power & how wonderful His offer to us really is, how can we help but commit our lives to Him. To those of us who believe, what wonderful assurance  & certainty we have: Because I live, you will also live. (see John 14:19). Martha is best known for being too busy to sit down & talk with Jesus. (see Luke 10:38-42). But here we see her as a woman of deep faith. Her statement of faith is exactly the response that Jesus wants from us. God wants us to live by faith in Jesus Christ. Faith connects us to God. Faith pleases God. Without faith, it is impossible to please God. Without faith, we cannot receive anything from God. Without faith, you cannot move mountains before you. We are saved by grace through faith. We live by faith & not by sight, senses, feelings or logic. We are made righteous by faith. We receive healing by faith. We cast out demons by faith. How does faith come? Faith comes from hearing the Word of God. As we hear the Word, read it, study it, hide it in our hearts, meditate on it, apply it to our lives, faith comes. How do we remove action from the pages of the Bible into our personal lives? We do so by mixing the Word of God that we hear with our faith. The Word of God is our manual or standard for daily living as Christians. Place much reliance on it. Be devoted to it. Meet God in His Word daily. Do not read it like a novel, otherwise you will know the stories recorded in the Bible, but you will not know the God behind those stories. You will not know the life changing power in those stories. Read it devotionally, that is with prayer. Mix it with faith & God will work with you & confirm His Word in your life or situation with signs accompanying it. Our words have creative power. They can create good or bad situations. The Bible says: Life & death are in the power of the tongue. Those who love it, will eat its fruit. What about God's Word? When we speak it by faith, it will accomplish far greater or indescribable things, far more than what our words can achieve. God's Word is higher in terms of  power & authority. The Holy Spirit uses the Word of God to transform our lives & renew our minds. Let us be devoted to prayer & to the ministry of the Word. This way, we will live holy lives & do exploits for God. Let us believe God & His Word in total. Let us speak the Word in our daily conversations.  Let us be expectant at all times, expecting to receive something spiritual or physical from God. Let us live holy lives. Without holiness, no one will see the Lord. Let us walk humbly with God. Thank you Jesus. Good morning Holy Spirit. Prayer: Father, I thank you for Jesus. Thank you for hearing & answering my prayers. Thank you for your surpassing grace, all out surpassing power & surpassingly great revelations. I owe it all to Jesus, the author & finisher of our faith. Strengthen our faith. Help us to have a Bible reading & meditation culture  so that faith will come & be strengthened. I connect with you this morning. Holy Spirit, guide our words. Help us to live the Word, pray the Word, speak the Word & abide in the Word. Put your angels to action. In Jesus mighty name we pray & believe, Amen.  Grace & peace be with you.
