What shall we say, then? Shall we go on sinning so that grace may increase? By no means! We died to sin, how can we live in it any longer? (Romans 6:1-2). Some thought &/or questioned: If God loves to forgive, why not give him more to forgive? If forgiveness is guaranteed, do we have the freedom to sin as much as we want? Paul's forceful answer is: By no means! Such an attitude - deciding ahead of time to take advantage of God - shows that, that person does not understand the seriousness of sin. God's forgiveness does not make sin less serious; His Son's death for sin shows us the dreadful seriousness of sin. Jesus paid with His life so that we could be forgiven. The availability of God's mercy must not become an excuse for careless living & moral laxness. Thank you Jesus. Good morning Holy Spirit. Prayer: Father, I thank you for Jesus. Thank you for letting Him die on the cross for our sins. Thank you for coming up with a second covenant which ushered us in as Gentiles. Help us to deal with sin head on. We believe that there is nothing like small sin, medium sin, or big sin. Sin is sin. Help us not to colour it, or defend it or justify it. Where we fall or fall, help us to confess our sins & repent of it. This way, we are able to continue our humble walk with God. Help us not to play with the grace of God. The Bible says: How shall we escape if we neglect so great a salvation. Send your angels to minister to our salvation & deliverance needs. Revive us Lord. Forgive our sins. Purify us from all unrighteousness. For those who are not yet Christians: Holy Spirit, Holy Spirit, convict them in regards to sin, righteousness & judgement. Save their souls. Every soul is precious before You Lord. We want them in. Let the Kingdom of God enter into their hearts. In Jesus mighty name we pray, believe, & give you thanks, Amen. God bless you all.
