The disciples, each according to His ability, decided to provide help for the brothers living in Judea. This they did, sending their gift to the elders by Barnabas & Saul. (Acts 11:29-30). The disciples were first called Christians at Antioch. The people of Antioch were motivated to give generously because they cared about the needs of others. This is cheerful giving that the Bible commends. (2 Corinthians 9:7). Reluctant giving reflects a lack of concern for people. Focus your concern on the needy, & you will be motivated to give. Elders were appointed to manage the affairs of the congregation. The disciples were the best version of themselves & they made greater impact among the people. People converted to Christ. The congregation at Antioch grew in numbers & in matters of giving. They gave not to members of their own congregation only but to the brothers living in Judea. This is what happens when Christ is truly Lord & Saviour of your life. You will become selfless & not selfish. Thank you Jesus. Good morning Holy Spirit. Prayer: Father, as Your children, I pray that you make us the best version of ourselves. This way, miracles will follow us & people will convert to Christ. The church will grow both in numbers & quality. Make us generous & cheerful givers. Make us selfless & not selfish or reluctant givers. Give us the grace to always focus on the poor & needy people with a view to help alleviate their burden. When we speak Your Word, let there be greater impact. When we pray your will in faith, let there be greater impact. When we lay hands on the sick or stretch our hands towards them, let them be healed & delivered in Jesus name. Let your REAL power flow in & through us. Confirm Scriptures that we quote & believe in the lives of the people we would be praying for. As we pray, put your angels to action. Let them minister to our needs. Fill us with your presence.  Show me your glory. Let your presence go with me wherever you take me to. Grant us supernatural provision to do your work. Thank you Jesus for hearing & answering my prayer. In Jesus mighty name we pray & believe, Amen.  God bless you all.
