Then Agrippa said to Paul: Do you think that in such a short time you can persuade me to be a Christian? Paul replied: Short time or long - I pray God that not only you, but all who are listening to me today may become what I am, except for these chains. (Acts 26:28-29). Paul's heart is revealed here in his words: he was more concerned for the salvation  of these strangers than for the removal of his own chains. He was more concerned about following the will of God at all times. He was more concerned about winning souls for God at all costs. He could take any assignment from God, risky or not. His life did not matter to him. What mattered to him was to finish the task God gave him - the task to to testify of the grace of God. Ask God to give you a burning desire to see others come to Christ, to have a desire that is  so strong that it overshadows your problems. God has given us a primary assignment as Christians. It is to win souls for God. As for me: God has given me many ministry & spiritual gifts. These are meant to assist me to win souls for the Kingdom of God. Soul winning is my primary assignment. The miracles that I do are meant to attract people to the REAL God, our Creator, the Most High God, the God of Abraham, Isaac & Jacob. Some will convert to Christ through that initiative. Praise the Lord. Prayer: Father, we see in today's reading Paul being in court for the sake of the Gospel. We see the Holy Spirit in control in his case, enabling him to witness Jesus Christ even under chains. As your church, you commanded us to go into all the world & preach the Gospel to all creation. You commanded us to make disciples of all nations. You commanded us to love God wholeheartedly & to love our neighbors as ourselves. Help us as the church to do exactly that. Help us not to preach ourselves, or our churches, but to preach the Word, to preach Jesus. The Gospel is all about Jesus. Give us power to witness Jesus to the remotest parts of the earth & not to use your power to make a name for ourselves. Rekindle the gifts of the Spirit in your church. Anoint your church with fresh oil. Help us to be in sync with You Lord. Where we need to repent, help us to do so, to enable us to make peace with God. Thank you Jesus for hearing & answering my prayer. In Jesus mighty name we pray  & believe, Amen. God bless you all.
