Your boasting is not good. Don't you know that a little yeast works through the whole batch of dough? (1 Corinthians 5:6). Paul was writing to those who wanted to ignore this problem. They didn't realize that allowing public sin to exist in the church affects all its members. Paul does not expect anyone to be sinless - all believers struggle with sin daily. Instead, he is speaking against those who deliberately sin, feel no guilt, & refuse to repent. This kind of sin cannot be tolerated in the church because it affects others. We have a responsibility to other believers. Yeast makes bread dough rise. Blatant sins, left uncorrected, confuse & divide the congregation. While believers should encourage, pray for & build up one another, there must also be intolerant of sin because it jeopardizes the health of the church. Thank you Jesus. Good morning Holy Spirit. Prayer: Father, we thank you for Jesus. He dealt a severe blow to sin & death on the cross. He made it possible for us to be reconciled to God through Jesus Christ. We are now at peace with you. We are now your children. Help us to deal with sin in our lives head on. Help us to confess it & to repent of it. You have made us royal, help us to live as royal. Forgive us our sins. Purify us from all unrighteousness. Lead us in the way everlasting. In Jesus mighty name we pray & believe, Amen. God bless you all.

No longer will a man teach his neighbor, or a man his brother, saying: Know the Lord, because they will all know Me, from the least of them to the greatest. (Hebrews 8:10-11). If our hearts are not changed, following God's rules will be unpleasant & difficult. We will rebel against being told how to live the Christian way. The Holy Spirit, however, gives us new desires, helping us wanting to obey God. With new hearts, hearts of flesh & not hearts of stone, we will find that serving God is our greatest joy. Under God's new covenant, God's law is inside us & not outside, ie, on a tablet of stone. No, it's written in our hearts. It is no longer an external set of rules & principles. The Holy Spirit reminds us of Christ's words, activates our ...
