to another faith by the same Spirit, to another gifts of healing by that one Spirit, to another miraculous powers, to a another prophecy, to another distinguishing between spirits, to another speaking in different kinds of tongues, & still to another the interpretation of tongues. All these are the work of one & the same Spirit, & He gives them to each one, just as He determines.  (1 Corinthians 12:9-11). All Christians have faith. Some however, have the spiritual gift of faith, which is an unusual measure or trust in the Holy Spirit's power. Prophecy is not just a prediction about the future; it can also mean preaching God's Word with power. Distinguishing between spirits means the ability  to discern right from wrong, truth from error, whether a person who claims to speak for God is   actually doing so by the Holy Spirit or is speaking by an evil spirit. All the gifts that the Holy Spirit gives us are in singular except the gifts of healing.  This is the only gift which is in plural. They are recorded in the Bible as: gift of faith; gift of this & that, etc. As for healing it recorded as gifts of. It's in plural. Meaning that divine healing is done in many ways & methods. It is not a single gift like the other eight spiritual gifts. Kindly note the difference. No matter what gift (s) a person has, each gift is given by the Holy Spirit.  The Holy Spirit decides which gift each of us should have. We are responsible to use & sharpen our gifts, but we take no credit for what God has freely given us. How do we sharpen our gifts? Through developing Christian character; living a holy life; being totally devoted to prayer & to the Word of God; being obedient to God & His Word. Thank you Jesus. Good morning Holy Spirit.  Prayer: Father, rekindle the gifts of the Spirit in operation in Your church. Give us the grace to sharpen our gifts with Christian character, faith, obedience, & true worship. Help us to be true to You & to have lives which inspire others to get saved. Put your angels to action. In Jesus mighty name we pray & believe, Amen. God bless you all.
