Prayer & power ministry demands that one must be full of the Word. Why? Because God wants us to pray His will & His will is recorded in the Bible. So you need to know the Word & be a doer of the Word. In my life I have gone through the whole Bible four to five times, reading it devotionally & not like a novel. This way, I have come to know not only the stories recorded in it, but the God behind those stories. This process is a long one. When you start, you will not be familiar with the voice of God, you will not be able to discern truth from error. But as you move from year to year you will be growing spiritually, moving from grace to grace, faith to faith, glory to glory. The voice of the Lord becomes more & more clear to you. The Word will increase in your life & are enabled to understand it, discern it & interpret it with clarity & balance. The glory of God will increase in your life. You will live a life of holiness. You will undoubtedly agree with me that this is a very long process but worth it. God will enable you to be a moving Bible sort of. Praise the Lord. God bless you all.
This is the covenant I will make with the house of Israel after that time, declares the Lord. I will put My laws in their minds & write them on their hearts. I will be their God, & they will be My people. No longer will a man teach his neighbor, or a man his brother, saying: Know the Lord, because they will all know Me, from the least of them to the greatest. (Hebrews 8:10-11). If our hearts are not changed, following God's rules will be unpleasant & difficult. We will rebel against being told how to live the Christian way. The Holy Spirit, however, gives us new desires, helping us wanting to obey God. With new hearts, hearts of flesh & not hearts of stone, we will find that serving God is our greatest joy. Under God's new covenant, God's law is inside us & not outside, ie, on a tablet of stone. No, it's written in our hearts. It is no longer an external set of rules & principles.
