I consider them rubbish that I may gain Christ & be found in Him, not having righteousness of my own that comes from the law, but that which is through faith  in Christ - the righteousness that comes from God & is by faith. (Philippians 3: 8b -9). After Paul considered everything he had accomplished in his life, he said that it was a loss when compared with the greatness of knowing Christ. We must not place anything above our relationship with Christ. Paul gave up everything, in order to know Christ & His resurrection power. We too have access to His knowledge & this power. No amount of law keeping,  self-improvement, discipline, or religious effort can make us right with God. Righteousness comes only from God. We are made righteous by faith in Christ. He exchanges our sin & shortcomings for His complete righteousness.  Thank you Jesus. Good morning Holy Spirit.  Prayer: Father,  i pray that you remove anything in our lives that we have placed above our relationship with Christ. Reorder our priorities in Jesus name. Give us the grace to give up everything in order to know Christ. Help us to set aside a few minutes  each day for prayer & Bible study. In Jesus mighty name we pray & believe,  Amen.  They have greatly oppressed me from my youth - let Israel say - they have greatly oppressed me from my youth but they have not gained victory over me. (Psalm 129:1-2). No weapons formed against me shall prosper. The devil has been fighting me from my youth. He for years struck me with terrible & terminal sicknesses, but God healed me.
