Let us build generationally. The youth ministry & junior's ministry are key. Let us invest our lives in the lives of these young ones. Let us grow them in the Word of God. Let us root them in Christ. We are born to REPRODUCE. Jesus instructed us to do two things: Evangelism & Discipleship. These are to be powered by the Greatest Commandment: Love God wholeheartedly & love your neighbor as yourself. When the young ones become disciples, they would be able to witness the resurrection of Jesus Christ to the unsaved, lead them to Christ on their own, & disciple them until they are committed, dedicated, fruitful, loyal, mature Christians. We produce spiritually qualified workers in the process who will assist their pastors in witnessing & discipleship. In evangelism, we focus on quantity. In discipleship, we focus on the quality Christian. We need to strike a balance between these two. Once disciples, we can develop them further to disciple makers. Grace & peace be with you.
This is the covenant I will make with the house of Israel after that time, declares the Lord. I will put My laws in their minds & write them on their hearts. I will be their God, & they will be My people. No longer will a man teach his neighbor, or a man his brother, saying: Know the Lord, because they will all know Me, from the least of them to the greatest. (Hebrews 8:10-11). If our hearts are not changed, following God's rules will be unpleasant & difficult. We will rebel against being told how to live the Christian way. The Holy Spirit, however, gives us new desires, helping us wanting to obey God. With new hearts, hearts of flesh & not hearts of stone, we will find that serving God is our greatest joy. Under God's new covenant, God's law is inside us & not outside, ie, on a tablet of stone. No, it's written in our hearts. It is no longer an external set of rules & principles.
