For this reason I remind you to fan into flame the gift of God, which is in you through the laying on of my hands. For God did not give us a spirit of timidity, but a spirit of power, of love, & of self discipline.  (2 Timothy 1:6-7). Timothy was experiencing great opposition to his message & to himself as a leader. His youth, his association with Paul had come under fire from believers & non-believers alike. Paul urged him to be bold. When we allow people to intimidate us, we neutralize our effectiveness for God.  Paul mentions three characteristics of the effective Christian leader:  power, love, & self discipline. These are available to us because the Holy Spirit lives in us. Follow His leading each day so that your life will more fully exhibit these characteristics. The Holy Spirit is not a spirit of fear. When we are filled by Him & led by Him, we become bold, fearless, powerful, loving deeply both God & man, & have self-discipline. Our lives will also manifest the fruit of the Spirit which are by-products of the Holy Spirit living in us. These are love, joy, peace, patience,  kindness,  goodness, faithfulness, gentleness & self control. The Holy Spirit is God in action. Wherever He is, there is liberty or freedom. Thank you Jesus. Good morning Holy Spirit. Prayer: Father,  my heart is broken, I am in pain, many Christians are ACTING Christianity, they are not having a changed life. Christianity is about a changed life & a renewed mind. Sin is dominant in their lives. I pray in the name of Jesus Christ that you forgive them their sins & deliver them. Fill them with the Holy Spirit of truth. Give them tongues from Heaven, not the ones that we largely hear today. Give them Christlike CHARACTER. Help them to witness the resurrection of Jesus Christ to the world. Witnessing Jesus Christ to the world on a serious note is one of the signs that the Holy Spirit is living in us. The Bible says: When the Holy Spirit is in us, He gives us power to witness Jesus Christ to the remotest parts of the earth. Your Word says: He who wins souls is wise. Make us soul winners. Thank you Father for hearing & answering my prayer.  In Jesus mighty name we pray & believe, Amen. Grace & peace be with you.
