Let me share a bit on prayer:

* What is prayer? It is a talking to God in the same way we talk to our friends. It is a direct communication with God through His Son, Jesus Christ. It is a relationship with God.

* How do we pray? Or what do we pray? We pray His will.

* Where do we find His will from? It is written in the Bible. The Bible is God's Word to us. It is our authoritative guide or standard or manual for our daily living as Christians. Let us hear it, read or study it daily, meditate on it day & night, hide it in our hearts so that we will not sin against God, & obey its principles. Let us pass on the Gospel or Word to others so that they too may be saved, healed, delivered, blessed as we are. This way, you will know the will of God. Once you know, do His will.

* What kind of prayers do please God? God takes delight in the prayer of the upright. (see Proverbs 15:8 b). Let us strive to be holy before Him. Where we fail or fall, let us try to repent, make corrections with the help of the Holy Spirit & continue our humble walk with Him. A righteous man falls seven times & rises again. (see Proverbs 24:16).

* What makes our prayers powerful & effective? Living a righteous life makes our prayers powerful & effective. (see James 5:16). Let us strive to cultivate our relationship with God daily, God will credit our faith as righteousness. The righteousness I am talking about comes from God to us on the basis of our faith in Jesus Christ. Our righteous lives will give our words greater impact. This way , our prayers will be powerful  & effective.

* What kind of prayers are detestable before God? If we turn a deaf ear to the law or the Word of God, our prayers will be detestable or an abomination before God (see Proverbs 28:9). I trust the Lord that I have encouraged some with this short teaching on prayer. Our 21 day fasting starts on 08.01.23, let us prepare for it accordingly.  Let us meet God in His Word daily. Let us pray continually  or without season. Let us put our relationship right with God. When we start against this background, our prayers will move mountains.  God bless you all.
