In everything set them an example by doing what is good. In your teaching show integrity, seriousness & soundness of speech that cannot be condemned, so that those who oppose you may be ashamed because they have nothing bad to say about us. (Titus 2:7-8). Paul urged Titus to be a good example to those around him so that others might see Titus 's good deeds & imitate him. Paul's life would give his words greater impact. If you want someone to act a certain way, be sure that you live that way yourself. Then you will earn the right to be heard, & your life will reinforce what you teach. Lifestyle evangelism is key. Children don't listen to what you tell them not to do, but they do what they see you doing. So live holy so that they will see holiness in us & imitate our example. Thank you Jesus. Good morning Holy Spirit. Prayer: Father, I pray for your church worldwide. Help us to live righteous lives so that we will be a good example to those who see us. Our lives will reinforce the Gospel that we preach & also give our words greater impact. Help us to speak words which heal, build, encourage, strengthen, comfort, edify, etc. Let soul winning be our primary objective. Help us in that regard. In Jesus mighty name we pray, Amen. This is the covenant I will make with the house of Israel after that time, declares the Lord. I will put My laws in their minds & write them on their hearts. I will be their God, & they will be My people. No longer will a man teach his neighbor, or a man his brother, saying: Know the Lord, because they will all know Me, from the least of them to the greatest. (Hebrews 8:10-11). If our hearts are not changed, following God's rules will be unpleasant & difficult. We will rebel against being told how to live the Christian way. The Holy Spirit, however, gives us new desires, helping us wanting to obey God. With new hearts, hearts of flesh & not hearts of stone, we will find that serving God is our greatest joy. Under God's new covenant, God's law is inside us & not outside, ie, on a tablet of stone. No, it's written in our hearts. It is no longer an external set of rules & principles.
