The coming of the lawless one will be in accordance with the work of satan displayed in all kinds of counterfeit  miracles, signs & wonders, & in every sort of evil that deceives those who are perishing. They perish because they refused to love the truth & so be be saved. For this reason God sends them a powerful DELUSION so that they will believe the lie & so that all will be condemned who have not believed the truth but have delighted in wickedness. (2 Thessalonians 2:9-12). The lawless one will use counterfeit miracles, signs & wonders to deceive & draw a following. Miracles from God help strengthen our faith & lead people to Christ, but all miracles are not necessarily from God. Satan's interventions i do not call them miracles; i call them magic. What is a miracle then? It is God's divine intervention.  Christ's miracles were significant, not just because of their power, but because of their purpose -  to help, to heal, & to point us to God. The man of lawlessness will have power to do amazing things, but his power will be from satan. He will use this power to destroy & to lead people away from God & toward himself. If any so called religious personality  draws attention only to himself or herself, his or her work is not from God. This man of lawlessness with his power & miracles will deceive those who have refused to believe God's truth. God gives people freedom to turn their backs on Him & believe satan's lies. He respects our personal will. He created man as a free moral agent. Prayer: Father, I pray that you convict the church of today by the Holy Spirit in regards to sin, righteousness & judgement. The days are moving, people are dying, each day we are moving closer & closer to the Day of Christ's return. Your Word says that Christ is coming to deal with the sinner. In His first visit He came to deal with sin. It is not a pleasant thing to fall in the hands of God. Son of David, Son of David, have mercy on us. Forgive us. Deliver us from this spirit. Help us to turn away from sin & turn to Christ. Wash us by the blood of Jesus. Thank you Father for your divine intervention in this case.
