Meanwhile the disciples urged Him, Rabbi, eat something. But He said to them: I have food to eat that you know nothing about. Then His disciples said to each other: Could someone have brought Him food? My food, said Jesus, is to do the will of Him who sent me & to finish His work. (John 4:31-34). The food about which Jesus was speaking was His spiritual nourishment. Spiritual nourishment comes from doing the will of God & helping to bring His work of salvation to completion. Spiritual nourishment includes more than Bible study, prayer, & attending church. We are nourished not only by what we take in, but also by what we give out for God. In John 17:4 Jesus refers to completing God's work on earth. It reads: I have brought you glory on earth by completing the work you gave  Me. Paul said: I consider my life worth nothing to me, if only I may finish the  race & COMPLETE the task the Lord Jesus has given me - the task of testifying to the Gospel of God's grace. Let us do all things unto the glory of God. Let us not take His glory for ourselves. Let us put our focus on doing His will & helping to bring His work of salvation to completion. Share your faith with others. Witness the resurrection of Jesus Christ to unbelievers. All the founders of religion, their bones are still in their graves. But the tomb of Jesus is empty; God raised Him from the dead. That power, that raised Jesus from the dead is in us. Purpose your life towards daily nourishment. Read a digestible portion from your Bible. Meditate on it or digest it, & apply the meditated portion to your life daily. Reading the Bible without putting into practice what you learn from it is a waste of time. It does not bring spiritual nourishment. Praying without striving to obey God & His Word in total is a waste of time. The Bible says: even your prayers are an abomination to God. They are detestable to Him. (see Proverbs 28:9). What do we pray? We pray His will. Where do we find His will? It's recorded in the Word of God, the Bible. Thus, in essence, we pray the Word of God. In this regard it is important that we hear the Word daily, read it, study it, internalize it, digest  it, obey its principles, & pass it on to others so that they will also receive salvation, healing, deliverance, blessing as we did. How does God heal? He sends His Word to heal us us & to deliver us from the grave. (Psalm 107:20). Let us be encouragers & peacemakers. Our Gospel is a Gospel of peace. Let us be peacemakers & sow it in peace. This way, we will raise a harvest of righteousness. Thank you Jesus. Good morning Holy Spirit. Prayer: Father, help us to be doers of the Word of God & not merely hearers, otherwise we deceive ourselves. Help us to do Your will at all times. Help us to meet You in your Word daily & to obey the principles of the Word of God. Help us through your Holy Spirit to align our lives & words to Your Word. Holy Spirit, Holy Spirit, guide our words. Help us to speak words which gives grace to those who hear them. Help us to understand that our words are a critical area in the Kingom of God. Mathew 12:36-37 says: But I tell you that men will have to give account on the day of judgement for every careless word they have spoken. For by your words you will be acquitted, & by your words you will be condemned. Lord Jesus, help us. Forgive us. In Jesus name, Amen.  I believe that words reveal character.  Words reveal what is in your heart. And we speak from the abundance of the heart. Church, let us desist from this dangerous game. I pray for those Christians who speak carelessly. Receive correction in Jesus name. Father, help us to speak words which heal, build, edify, encourage, strengthen, comfort, full of love, faith & grace. Thank you Jesus for hearing & answering my prayer.  As we have prayed, put your angels to action. Let them minister to our varying needs. In Jesus mighty name we pray & believe, Amen. Grace & peace be with you.
