As soon as the chief priests & their officials saw Him, they shouted: Crucify! Crucify. But Pilate answered: You take Him & crucify Him. As for me, I find no basis for a charge against Him. They insisted: We have a law, & according to that law He must die, because He claimed to be the Son of God. (John 19:6-7). The truth finally came out - the religious leaders had not brought Jesus to Pilate because He was causing rebellion against Rome, but because they thought He had broken their religious laws. Jesus had claimed that He was the Son of God, & they were threatened by that. Blasphemy, one of the most serious crimes in Jewish law, deserved death penalty. Accusing Jesus of blasphemy would give credibility to their case in the eyes of the Jews; accusing Jesus of treason would give credibility to their case in the eyes of the Romans. They didn't care which accusation Pilate listened to, as long as he would cooperate with them in killing Jesus. Pilate did not find a basis for a charge against Jesus, but they still insisted that the Son of God, the King of the Jews, must be crucified. Jesus did nothing wrong to deserve death. But He let the process to be done. He knew it was God's will for Him to die for our sins. So He didn't call for angelic back up, He endured the cross. Because the world hated Jesus first, we as His followers are not an exception; it will hate us as well. Even the church of today, can hate you as well for being a true Christian.  In John 16:2-3 the Bible says: They will put you out of the synagogue; in fact a time is coming when anyone who kills you will think he is offering a service to God. They will do such things because they have not known the Father or Me. You have heard it, people will kill other people spiritually thinking that they are offering a service to God. The will gossip about you, create lies, talk negatively about you & NOT to you. Take action against you based on lies & their crave to assume your leadership position. Thank God they can strip you of your position but they cannot take your gift, talent, ability, anointing, calling, etc. These are irrevocable. You will still continue to do the will of God with power at an increasing level. The Lord will expose your enemies. The Heavens will be closed to them. Curses will be their portion. But as for you, you will operate under an open Heaven. Blessings will be your portion.  I urge you brothers & sisters in the Lord, preach the Word of God amid much opposition.  Always remember what the Bible says: Those whose desire is to live a godly life will suffer persecution.  Fear not, only believe, God will do extraordinary miracles by your hands. He will prepare a table for you before your enemies. You will thrive, you will WIN. Thank you Jesus. Good morning Holy Spirit.  Prayer: Father, I pray that you help us to have lives which inspire others to get saved & to be TRUE to God. I rebuke the spirit behind stepping on others or using others in a negative way in order to go up. Expose it Father in the name of Jesus. Help us to be true to You & others & not to be fake. Fake Christians smile at you, pretend to be with you, when inwardly they have planned horror against you. Deliver your people from such schemes, tactics, evil plans by the devil & his agents . Give them victory always & good success. Your Word says: weapons may be formed but they will not prosper.  Confirm this Scripture in the lives of your obedient children.  Fight the battles for them. Assign your angels to minister to their needs. Protect & secure your children by the blood of Jesus & the fire of the Holy Spirit. Thank you Father for hearing & answering my prayer.
