Once when we were going to the place of prayer, we were met by a slave girl who had a spirit by which she predicted the future. She earned a great deal of money for her owners by fortune-telling. This girl followed Paul & the rest of us, shouting: These men are servants of the Most High God, who are telling the way to be saved. She kept this up for many days. Finally Paul became so troubled that he turned around & said to the spirit: In the name of Jesus Christ, I command you to come out of her. At that moment the spirit left her. (Acts 16:16-18). What the slave girl said was true, although the source of her knowledge was a demon. Demons know whether you are a true Christian or not. Demons know whether you have surpassing power or not. Why did the demon announce the truth about Paul & why did this annoy Paul? If Paul had accepted the demon's words, he would appear to be linking the Gospel with demon related activities. This would damage his message about Christ. Truth & evil do not mix. Thank you Jesus. Good morning Holy Spirit. Prayer: Father, give us the ability to discern spirits. Help us not only to be comfortable that they are telling the truth about us. Help us to always discern the source. Your Word says: Those who believe will drive out demons.  Activate this Scripture in the lives of your obedient children. Fill them with God's grace & power to witness, heal & deliver the oppressed. Help us to make the Word of God or Gospel VIRAL. Let Jesus increase in our lives & let us reduce. In Jesus mighty name we pray, Amen. God bless you all.
