They replied: We have not received any letters from Judea concerning you, & none of the brothers who have come from there has reported or said anything bad about you. But we want to hear what your views are, for we know that people everywhere are talking against this sect. (Acts 28:21-22). Christians were denounced everywhere by the Romans because they were seen as a threat to the Roman establishment. We believe in one God, who is our Creator & the Most High God. We believe in the Godhead or Trinity. Whereas the Romans had many little gods, including Ceasar. The Christians were committed to an authority higher than Ceasar. Paul preached at Rome under guard. Christianity is not all rosy. You can have weaknesses, get insulted, experience hardships, persecutions, rejections, difficulties, etc. By way of testimony, I have been through all these bad & harsh situations several times over the years. What do you do when under such a situation? Set your eyes on Jesus Christ. He is the author & finisher of our faith. Set your mind on things in Heaven above & not on earthly things. Do not put your focus on the circumstances or your situation. Put your focus on God Almighty. Why? He is the Solution or Answer. Meet God in His Word daily. Ask yourself what the Word of God says about that particular situation & declare it upon your life. Live by faith & not by sight, feelings, senses, or logic. Pray His will continually. Do not pray for God to deliver you from the situation. Note that He has allowed the trial or test to come your way because He is working something in you. Rather, pray that He gives you the grace to go through it in peace & joyfully. The power of God is perfected in weakness. When I  am weak, then I am strong. His grace always proves to be sufficient in my life. I have not given this testimony to scare you but to encourage you, comfort you & strengthen you. We are not called only to believe but also to suffer for His name's sake. Praise the Lord. Good morning Holy Spirit. Prayer: Father, as we your children go through trials & tests, some of them which are  very severe, help us to remain focused on You. Help us to always realize that you have allowed those trials for a purpose. Help us to realize that You do not allow us to be tempted beyond what we can bear. Help us to realize that before the trial came, you had the solution in sight, you will put the way of escape for us. Help us to understand that the temptations you allow to come to us are not an oversize but a perfect size fit. When we overcome, give us the grace to encourage, comfort & strengthen our brothers in their faith. Thank you Jesus for hearing & answering my prayer. In Jesus name we pray, Amen. God bless you all.
